Cedar Weaving Workshop

Whether creating a cedar rose, basket, hat, or small woven piece, each participant leaves with both a handcrafted item and a deeper appreciation for the living knowledge embedded within Coast Salish weaving traditions. This workshop offers an opportunity to slow down, listen, learn, and experience how our knowledge is carried through the hands, shared through stories, and sustained through respectful relationships with the land.

Beading Workshop

Beading earrings or beading anything really is more than just stringing some beads together. In a recent workshop important cultural teachings, that are embedded in the practice of learning something new, were shared. Old family pieces where shared and studied. The imagination is engaged when finding the pattern and picking out the colors. The state of flow and a calmness happens when the group is quietly counting and feeding each tiny seed bead onto the very fine needle.

Drum Making Workshop

Creating Rhythm, Connection, and Culture. Our Drum Making Workshop offers participants the opportunity to create their own hand drum while learning about the cultural significance of the drum within many Indigenous traditions. More than a musical instrument, the drum is often understood as the heartbeat of Mother Earth—a symbol of life, connection, and community that has brought people together through ceremony, song, and storytelling for generations.
